Mehdi Doumi (pronounced Meddy Doo-mee) has spent the last 12 years designing image- & video-capture rigs, human-interfaces (UX), image analysis software (classical, video & A.I./M.L), psycho-visual experiments, and consumer-perception models at L'Oreal, the largest cosmetics company in the world. Mehdi has launched and deployed software globally and presented video and image-analysis research in Shanghai, Paris, Milan, Redmond, Los Angeles & New York.
Most recently Mehdi was awarded at IFSCC 2020 in Japan; and has accepted patents in visual evaluation tools, and several pending in computer vision and furniture design.
in 2021, Mehdi founded Paletta - a patent-pending platform that transforms the ergonomics of iPads for improved stylus control, critical for digital artists.
PERSONALLY SPEAKING...
Mehdi Doumi enjoys working on art/design/science projects connecting color, perception, sound, photography, video and data; furniture and house design. He has performed improv comedy in NYC and Maplewood. In 2011 He founded Blehdi Non-Profit Science Art for K-12 classrooms to use the power of abstract art to help students understand science.
